This is a recording of André’s first recitals that took place in my hometown, Taubaté, Brazil, in 1997, when he was a teenager. At this time he played often in that duo with Alessandro Pereira, from whom he learned a lot and who was an important influence on the guitar for me. This video was published to celebrate the 100th birthday of the composer Astor Piazzolla in 2021.
